All information is to be provided in good faith and is to be correct to the best of contributors' knowledge.

Information which may cause hurt or embarrassment to any living person should not be included. While accuracy of information is important, FamilyOrigins network does not wish to include information which may cause hurt or embarrassment where the person concerned or her/his children are still living. Hurt and embarrassment disappear with the generations and some details may best be left unpublished for a few years. Contributors must use discretion in this regard.

Contributors acknowledge that information may be declined, edited or withdrawn at the discretion of FamilyOrigins network, if it becomes known to FamilyOrigins network that information is a source of hurt or embarrassment to any living person. Contributors agree that FamilyOrigins network may exercise complete discretion in regard to information maintained or removed from Family History Index. All reasonable efforts will be made to consult with the contributor of the information via the e-mail address which accompanies the entry.

Contributors agree that other persons who are interested in entries in Family History Index may be listed in the designated place.
